Date Night..contiued

So tonight was fun and fabulous!!! It was my first Long Distance Over th Phone date night. I love that Jon is creative enough and thought of it!!!
We went to Wendy's and got food and then returned to our homes and watched 'Click'. It was pretty entertaining trying to get both of our movies to start at the same time. We did pretty good, they were only a few seconds behind each other. It was fun to be able to watch it together over the phone and to laugh together and cry together..yes I did use the word cry. At the very end when Adam Sandler is running towards his son to tell him to always put his family first....it always gets me.

It was a perfect date night and it just makes me so excited for what the future will hold!!!!

Distant Date Night

So While I was talking to Jon on the phone last night (Tuesday) he was asking me if I worked Thursday night. I said that I didn't and he said that we should go on a date. It took me a second to respond because I wasn't sure exactly HOW that would work since we are like 10 hours apart.
He said he wanted to go to dinner..so I inquired him more... He said that we should go to the same restaurant and order at the same time and then sit and talk on the phone while we ate. I smiled at the idea and his fun creativity...LOVE HIM!! So tomorrow night I have a date with my honey who will be 10 hours away from me.... Very excited, yes it is strange but hey you gotta live life and enjoy every moment :)

Latest update in my life

I AM ENGAGED!! I can't believe how blest I have been and that God would bring this awesome and wonderful man into my life. PLUS who can pass of the opportunity of having one of my bestest friends from High School as my Sister-in-law!

My Friend Nicole texted me in the middle of December to see how I felt about the idea of being set up on a date with her brother-in-law Jonathan. He needed to get out more and for some reason Joey (her husband/his brother) thought of me. I thought, why not! We decided that since Jonathan would be in Ceder City for Christmas and I would be at my parents for Christmas it woud be the perfect chance to go down and just have some fun. It was SUPPOSE to be a very casual date and basically a fun hang out..well God obviously had other things in mind. Within a day or two I knew that there was definitely a future with this man. The unfortunate part was that he was living in Flagstaff, AZ and that made it 9 hours away!!! SO 3 days later I decided to buy a plane ticket for the next weekend and go down and spend the weekend with him to get to know him more. Within 24 hours beyond that we both knew that we were meant to be..I KNOW it is totally insane and I remember mocking people on howthey would just know but then I remember my sisters and how they all knew very quickly so I guess it runs in the family. SO I flew down to see him and by the weekends end I had a ring on my finger. I am so blessed and so excited to spend my future with him. With marrying him I will also be inheriting a 2-year step-daughter Hanneli, she is SOOO cute. Grandchild #16 :) In May when Jonathan finishes up his Master Degree for Family Counseling he will be moving up to Ogden and we will be getting married in June! Thank goodness for cell phone technology!

We are excitally going through the Bountiful Temple and I am so excited and can hardly wait!!

Aunt Pauline Weekend

SO I had Kristi and Matt for Chirstmas 08' and they decided that for Christmas they wanted a weekend to getaway from all kids and I love taking the kids out so I was down for it. THANK GOODNESS it was a good weather weekend because being cooped up in my 2 bedroom condo without a yard would have driving us nuts. But we had fun away.

I took them to the park nearby so they could play and have a chance to run out all the energy they had. The park had trees and they decided to be monkeys and climb up in them, so of course I had to take pictures :)

I have a friend from high school that had a daughter about Devans age and a boy brendans age so we arranged a play date:)
Ogden has a water park for the kids and they had all kinds of fun running around. The breeze picked up so it was getting a little chilly but the kids had a blast. Poor little Brendan didn't want to stop playing in it but couldn't stop shivering.

Park City Girls Weekend

September me and my sisters went to Park City for a Girls night and had a blast!! We met up at Bobbi's and then headed up to Park City. We got settled in to the Hotel and then decided to go and try and find something to eat...well an hour later and a lot trip of all over Park City with Bobbi's GPS leading us back the direction we were going we ended up at Ruby River just down the street from the Hotel. haha

BUT while we were driving around we saw these trees!! Yes there are Shoes in those trees. It was pretty cool so we of course had to stop in the middle of the road...LITERALLY in the middle of the road (don't worry it was kind of like a turning lane) and took pictures:)

We had a blast like we always do and and got back to the hotel and decided to jump into the Hot Tube, and do I need to mention that there was a TON of cute guys there..Kristi was 'checking ' them out for me to see if any were good enough. We couldn't figure out why and then we found out in the Hot Tub that it was a HIGH SCHOOL soccer team..yeah WAY to young for me.
We went shopping for our junk food and then headed back for a game of Jenga. Very fun stuff. We got up Saturday and did the breakfast stuff, checked out of the hotel and then went shopping... It was a lot of fun, we took tons of pictures and video to sent to Laurel and Ruth since they couldn't join us.

I was totally going to upload a video of our journeyings for food..well Bobbi calls it scavanging for food but it won't let me upload it :( it is pretty hilarious stuff

Bear Lake Family Reunion 09'

So it has been a REALLY long time since I have update this so I thought I should probably start doing some updating....
So for family reunions we go to Bear Lake....SNIFF SNIFF...It was our last year there due to problems with the management and their policies that keep changing on allowing my parents to reserve so many spots :( we are very sad about the changes but it is kind of life and it isn't the first time we have moved locations for family reunions.

This year was the first time we had every single member of our family together in 9 years! It was so much fun and we all had a blast.
For one of the meals we did a cheese & chocolate fondue. The kids loved it and it was a nice twist on the normal hot doggies and chicken stuff.

The kids of course loved the playgroun and so we spent a lot of time over there letting them wear themselves out
Getting the fondue all set up for dinner....

All the family sitting around the fire doing smores and just catching up on life...

Tent City!!! we had so many tents that we started running out of room to put them....luckily we stopped having them show up :) Bear lake is a legacy that will be hard to beat but we will see what other domains we get to explore next summer.

THANK GOODNESS FOR "AAA"

So I was on my way to WSU this morning to lay blankets out for the fireworks tonight...yeah totally hit a massive pot hole and it flattened my tire...so I called Triple A and as I sat there I thought...why I am calling them I know how to change a tire, and I am women enough to do it so I figured I would attempt while I waited. So I got out the spare which was greasy all around the underneath part of the rim so within 10 seconds I was already a greasy monkey... already manly huh :)
Then I grabed the jack and when to jack up the car and remembered that you have to loosen the bolts before putting the car up...so I pulled out the "bolt loosener" and put it over the bolt and pushed....and pushed....ummm and pushed...yeah I did not have enough manly strength to loosen these things. By this time the guy called me and was like..ummm where are you at? I said I am at 4600 and Harrison on the North East side in a Silver Passat....he responds...ummm I am sitting in the middle of the intersection and I don't see you..I turn around to look at the intersection and I think..huh? no he isn't. Then I look up...Yeah Pauline you are at 5600 and harrison NOT 4600 and Harrison...yeah total blonde moment considering I have lived off of 5600 for like 3 years now! So he came to my rescue and change my tire.
Well, then I think...what and interesting morning...time to head to Weber State...I turn my key....and I turn my key again...yeah my car was dead. I kind of laughed to myself. Luckily AAA policy is that they don't leave until the customer has left...and luckily they also jump cars!!! :) so he pulled out his batter pack thing and jump my car...
I can honestly say that AAA was a blessing to be on this earth :) I did make it to the gigantic quilt of blankets to put ours down and home with no further problems :)
